Magali Elali is an art his­to­ri­an and inde­pen­dent cura­tor who foun­ded The Constant Now, a non-pro­fit net­work and plat­form that pro­mo­tes inclu­si­vi­ty in the art sce­ne through exhi­bi­ti­ons, talks, pro­jects, and POC POC, a men­to­ring pro­gram for emer­ging artists of color.

The Constant Now is a nonprofit arts organization founded in 2021 by curator and art historian Magali Elali to support and promote visual artists of color in Belgium. We are dedicated to inclusivity and addressing the underrepresentation of POC artists by creating visibility through exhibitions, talks, and mentoring.

But today, it’s Magali Elali and Bart Kiggen’s everyday lives we wanted to talk about. They are an art curator and a video artist living with their two boys in Antwerp, Belgium. Six years ago, they undertook the refurbishment of a former apothecary’s shop dating from the 1900s.
