Oct 21, 2014 · 3rd up is the A3 style retractable stock. This stock makes the MP5 look fantastic. Hollywood looks with practical applications. The silhouette of an MP5 with an A3 stock is a wonderful thing! The A3 stock allowed me to shoulder the weapon for increased stability when firing but it lacked a comfortable cheek weld.

The only difference is that they kept the .40 S&W buffer system (so it can run +P 9mm) and added on this small extension to the stock:

Nov 3, 2018 · On an MP5, the longer forks would not let the stock fully retract. HK produced both the earlier A3 and subsequent "F" stocks with, and without a bolt hold open cutout. Then there is the multi position F stocks.

Mar 31, 2023 · While I don't have either of the retractable stocks you mention and I have a MP5, not a K, I find a retractable stock (in my case an A3) the coolest looking, but the least comfortable to shoot with. I prefer the cheek weld from either the B&T folding or A2. Cheek weld and length of pull is similar on B&T and A2 with main difference being weight.
