Nov 25, 2011 · Rover recommended 10w40 Magnatec, at least in the KV6, which is now a very cheap oil (it was pretty nifty back in 1999). I buy 0w40 Mobil-1 because the 0w is runnier in the cold, and 85% of damage is done when the engine is Cold. That matters quite a lot to me and I feel my Rover would benefit from an oil change - it's currently running on 10w40.
