Selena y Los Dinos (English: Selena and The Guys) was an American Tejano band formed in 1981 by Tejano singer Selena and her father Abraham Quintanilla. The band remained together until the murder of Selena in 1995, which caused the dissolution of the band in the same year. [1]

Los Dinos was a band that Abraham Quintanilla Jr. was apart of, which he left in 1972, and they fully broke up in 1974. In 1956, Abraham Quintanilla encountered his alumni classmates performing at a high school dance. He immediately recognized their voices and was hooked.
