Oct 26, 2024 · Mine sits about 10 inches under a 400 watt metal halide. Very deep red color coralites and polyps, otherwise the rest of the coral is bone white. The bone white parts turn green in the shaded areas. Color is less intense in lower par. Interestingly enough whenever I frag it the frags turn mostly green with only a little bit of red.

Basically, unless I'm trying really hard to screw this up, I can set the color knob anywhere from 0-100% and trust that it's going to grow coral and meet my coral's energy needs (Kessil Logic).

The first commercial LED array (PFO's Solaris) had a few green LEDs and we were able to keep corals at low PPFD values. I've always *thought* the green light was at least partially responsible. There is no doubt that zoox can utilize green light.
