The LAV II, also know as the ASLAV, is a derivative of the combat proven LAV I employed by the USMC designed to meet the requirements of the Australian Army. It features high mobility, a 25mm turret-mounted main gun, lightweight armor, reduced maintainability and enhanced availability to perform reconnaissance missions.

The Canadian 8x8 LAV II Bison is a wheeled infantry section carrier. The Bison entered service in 1990 & has now been replaced by the Canadian LAV III.
