Feb 21, 2023 · The real issue here is why would it make sense to improve the laat? Putting more defensive or offensive equipment makes your dropship clunkier and more expensive. The republic had other craft for dedicated "this guy can't die" transport but the laat did its job fine. The later imperial troop transport is honestly just a modernized laat in spirit.
