Dec 15, 2009 · I’ve been curious about this myself. I recently attempted to build a rifle using an LWRC receiver. I was on the phone with them several times. They would not specifically say that their barrels and barrel extensions are the same. They would hint around at the fact that regular AR barrels may or may not fit their monoforge upper receivers.

Jan 23, 2013 · Several years ago I bought an LWRC REPR and I have never been happy with the accuracy from it. I have considered sending it to a smith and having them spin up a match grade barrel for it. Is this possible? It has LWRC's custom gas block and up receiver so I am not sure if it can be done. Thoughts or recommendations on who to call? Thanks.

May 31, 2017 · Lwrc wants a fortune for a rebarrel and they don’t sell gas blocks as a separate part. I have an spr piston upper but would really like to get an ic-e or a5 barrel or gas block so I can use the adjustable gas block when shooting suppressed.

Jul 27, 2021 · I spoke to Rodney, the Technical Service Manager there and sent him the borescope video. He had told me that as of 2024, LWRC will no longer be doing business with Proof Research. Proof sells the pre-fit, chambered barrels directly to LWRC and they do the install. LWRC does not chamber their barrels. Proof does.

May 4, 2020 · I think LWRC are overhyped rifles that shoot poorly and have a gimmicky AR piston system. My Larue OBR shoots 1/2moa 5 shot groups with factory match. Every LWRC REPR I've ever come across can't even come close to that. Matter of fact, no LWRC rifle i've ever come across can even shoot tighter than my regular chrome lined DI ARs.

Apr 9, 2012 · LWRC barrels are picky mothers, hates some ammo and loves a few. The 5.56 rifles are the same. So far, FGMM has been the ticket to tight groups on all my LWRC rifles, regardless of caliber.
