Jul 2, 2021 · Gets more power, torque, and better fuel consumption, but isn't as well integrated as the swap kit manufacturer might make it out to be and you lose some of the sporty character of the renesis powertrain. The turnkey conversion with labour I think is also close to 10k or something around that.

Nov 22, 2019 · V8 roadsters offers LFX kits for the NC Miata and RX-8. They've apparently got the CANBUS worked out so that the gauges and controls work, too. What I'd really like to see in an RX-8 is a 6 cylinder that sounds like this.

Jul 1, 2019 · I looked for alternatives and ended up finding a LFX swap for the Rx-8 that was posted on YouTube. The kit is made by Keisler Automation and was very well laid out. I contacted Andrew at Keisler to talk about the kit and options for a build.

Dec 3, 2013 · Apparently they are developing LLT and LFX kits for the MX5 and RX8 and adding a LS series kit for the RX8 too. They already have LS series swap kits for all generations of MX5. The GM LFX looks like a badass little engine with small dimentions.

Louis took an RX8 that needed a new engine, and he chose well for a new power plant! We put in an LFX V6 mated to a paddle-actuated automatic transmission.
