During this logo's run, KWHY and its then-sister station KVEA alongside the rest of the Telemundo network would be purchased by NBC in 2002. This made KWHY and KVEA sister stations to NBC's West Coast flagship station, KNBC.

On February 2, 2025, the station changed its callsign from KBEH to KWHY, inheriting the callsign from its former sister station which began airing the Scientology Network as KSCN-TV on January 1.
