Kunikida is my favourite and by far, the coolest character in bsdverse. Mind it, he's the tritagonist and one of the first few people introduced in the series itself. It's crazy how much he is overlooked and underappreciated by the fandom. I suppose the reason could be people deem the lawful good archetype as "uninteresting", reasonably so.

Oct 4, 2020 · I just love the fact that Kunikida is so used to Dazai's shit that he can't even get angry anymore. He simply accepts the fact that his partner is a fickle man with a bouncy mind. In 55 Minutes he even states that Dazai's shit can't surprise him anymore, much to Atsushi's confusion. One of my favourite moments in the whole book!

Nov 12, 2020 · Kunikida is a very interesting character and I hope the anime does him justice in the future seasons (although I doubt that... they just seem to be interested in pleasing the Dazai and Atsushi fans and relegate every other interesting character into the background.) Kunikida is so underrated (like many other interesting characters in BSD tbh)

In the OVA, he gave a bomb in a case to a girl, after Kunikida saved the girl he when to search for more bombs inside the tunnels of the metro with her. That guy then kidnaps her and then the scenario that I mentioned before plays out, but in that case, unlike on this episode Kunikida saves everyone thanks to his notebook.
