May 9, 2018 · Using the information I learned, helps me to compare other types of lubes to Krytox. For example you might get a bottle of silicon oil at the hobby store that has a 500cSt and that will be equivalent to a Krytox GPL 105. Krytox has been tested and proven, it is inert and non reactive to plastics but boy is it expensive.

Mar 2, 2019 · If the switches are smooth enough, like Gateron and some vintage blacks, 104/105/106 works really well. it dampens the noise and stays ultra smooth. I find grade 0 (3203, 3204, 205) only truly shines when fixing scratchier switches like Retooled MX Blacks, Kailh Creams, Outemu Ice.

The default grease viscosity of Super Lube grease sold on Amazon is NLGI consistency 2, which might be thicker than desired.

Jan 18, 2021 · Krytox 205g0 is not simply mixed 205g2 and 105 - there is a chemical binder that is supposed to prevent the oil and grease from continually separating. Dupont invented Krytox 205g0, but no longer manufactures it - Miller-Stephenson now makes it.

So I tried the Super Lube mix (grease and 51004 oil) and I'm noticing the keys are almost sticking/stopping if I press it on the corner of the keycaps. I compared it to a unlubed switch and it didn't happen on the unlubed switch.

Oct 24, 2020 · Krytox 205 would be a thicker and smoother lube, it might decrease tactility if you add too much or add them on the wrong parts. I personally use the krytox 205 for my switches and use krytox 105 for the springs. I haven't experienced any significant difference in tactility after lubing my switches with krytox 205 and they feel great.

May 18, 2020 · Krytox 205g0 + 105? I've recently saw a video by :3ldcat detailing how he lubed the KEMOVE SnowFox 61, and he detailed that he uses a lube mix of Krytox g205g0 and 105. Does that make a big difference compared to just g205g0?
