Korg M3 is a music workstation synthesizer manufactured by Korg Corporation and introduced at the NAMM Show in January 2007, being released four months later. The M3 is the successor of the famous Triton series.

Firstly, the 61-key M3 shown here comprises two products: the Korg Komponent System (KKS) KYBD61 keyboard (which comprises nothing more than the keyboard itself, the ribbon, joystick and two assignable switches); and the M3M workstation engine.

The Korg M3 73 is an iteration of their flagship OASYS, using their Enhanced Definition Synthesis sound derived from the HD-1 engine. It sports 73 semi-weighted keys and integrates well with DAWs and has 512 additional sounds.

The Korg M3 was released in 2007 and heralded by Korg as their third generation workstation. The company already proved themselves to be very capable of producing quality workstations at an affordable price, with the M1 and successors, such as the Trinity.

Nov 19, 2007 · The sonic backbone of the M3 is taken from Korg´s flagship OASYS technology. The HD-1 sound engine behind OASYS has been streamlined into a new chip at the heart of the M3, which Korg call Enhanced Definition Synthesis (EDS).

The M3 music workstation/sampler is a 61-key model that uses a proprietary semi-weighted synth action keyboard developed by Korg for great playing feel and expressive aftertouch response.

The Korg M3 has been "Internally Xpanded," and Sweetwater has the free upgrades already installed! New sounds include electric pianos and classic keyboards, tape-emulating flutes and strings, and Brass & Woodwinds and Concert Grand expansion cards.

The M3 workstation, already a powerful beast, has gained impressive new features and an 'Xpanded' name tag. Is it now top of its class? The Korg M3 workstation is still less than two years old, but it has already benefited from a significant upgrade.

The M3 is a synthesizer workstation that is the successor to the Korg Triton and incorporates elements of the OASYS engine. It also includes the next generation of the Korg KARMA engine. It was followed by the Korg M50, which is a stripped-down lower-end version of the M3.
