Oct 2, 2022 · This one seems like a digital nightmare by comparison. There is no way to adjust the contrast and the screen has significantly more glare than the 2011 model. It doesn't appear to have eink at all and just seems like a pixelation festival– a bad one at that. If I get the Kobo Clara, will the pixelation/low contrast issues arise?

Dec 31, 2021 · My KOBO Clara HD got frozen on a page of a book. I cannot change the page or access the menu. I have tried to charge it, restart it (15 seconds press), factory reset (when plugged into a computer it does not recognize the device as plugged in and I have tried the manual reset for 4 seconds then 30 seconds).

Jun 2, 2021 · My book collection is easily managed and is fun to organize. I have a Kobo Clara HD. I selected "tablet" (read somewhere to use that) and it works well - the options to pick Kobo Aura, and another one I don't remember, are for old devices. Later you might add a plugin to convert/save books as Kepub which supposedly adds some Kobo enhancements.

I just picked up the latest Paperwhite and have a few thoughts to share that will maybe help someone else who might be choosing their first reader. First impressions: The Kindle PW is solid. Feels like it's built like a tank. It's heavy and nice to hold.

Just added the three new models: Kobo Clara BW, Clara Colour, and Libra Colour, as well as a filter option to only show Kobo ereaders with a color screen. The screen is just so crisp and easy to read on and Kobo formats their manga well so the scans are very clear even on something small like the Clara color. Also I haven’t had to use it on the Clara yet but I know from my libra 2 that kobo has really well tuned zooming features on their graphic novels and manga.

The Kobo Color line is getting mixed reviews about battery life because they only last several days under extensive use in situations where you need the backlight on high and are constantly refreshing the screen.
