Mar 22, 2015 · I have 5 small 9mm's. (3 Kahr's, 1 Shield, 1 G26) The CM9 is the smallest and it took a bit to tune it to run 100%, but it's a great now, perfect pocket gun. It is physically the same size as the MK9, just the MK9 weights 8oz more from being all stainless steel.

I have a S&W 442 and Kahr CM9. I carry the Kahr daily while the 442 stays in the safe. Both are easy to pocket carry during the summer months in cargo shorts. For me the Kahr is easier to shoot accurately, has better sights, and a higher capacity. I have over 2000 rounds of both fmj and jhp ammo through my CM9 with no malfunctions.

May 24, 2017 · At the time the CM9 and PF9 were the only single stack 9s in my price range. I later picked up a Shield. The Shield replaced the Kahr in my carry rotation. Nothing wrong with the CM9, I just shot the Shield better and my duty weapon was an M&P 40 so it made sense. I ended up trading the Kahr off, a decision I now regret.

Oct 27, 2012 · Kudos OP, great post. I've been carrying a CM9 as my pocket gun for about eight months now. Greaet little pistol, no issues, and I feel like it's a better option than a J-frame (thinner, higher capacity, 9>38, faster reload).

Jun 10, 2023 · The Kahr is a little longer, but also a little shorter than the Ruger- might be able to be pulled out of a pocket easier. The Kahr weighs 15.9oz, the Ruger 10.6oz. I have never fired an LCP MAX but I suspect that it is pretty hard to hang on-to at 10.6oz.

Aug 4, 2015 · Kahr instructs to insert mag and use the slide release to load, so I take the blame for that one hiccup. The CM9 trigger requires about twice as long a pull as a Glock, and to my way of thinking, is a safer trigger to carry in a pocket (but again, no experience with pocket carry).

May 3, 2015 · The CM9 is smaller, carries the same amount of rounds, is cheaper, and easier to find. But I don't have any experience with the Kahr (trigger, quality, reputation, etc). Would it be better to hold out until a G43 becomes available?

Mar 23, 2011 · I think the C-series offers most of the key features for a substantial savings. I have steered several friends towards the CW9 because of the price point over the P9. I have a PM9 that I'm not getting rid of but the new CM9 is a better deal. Kahr is really doing well to offer a significantly cheaper version of their great guns.

Mar 26, 2016 · I kept the CM9 and K9. My K9 was bought used, broken and Kahr made it right for free. 8 years later it is still the most accurate 9mm I've ever shot. Thousands of rounds down the tube, and perfect. The CM9 was bought used and had an occasional premature slide lock problem. Drove me nuts, called Kahr and for some reason refused to fix this gun.
