Nov 16, 2014 · THere are a ton of 170 racks on ebay for $35 but without connectors. THere is one connector plate only for $65 but without the RF connectors. A ratty KX-170B is on there for $130. There is an even rattier one for $450. Who knows what they are really worth?

They are excellent radios - when they work. Mine became troublesome due to the plastic cam failures. You have several options: - find functioning units on eBay.

Nov 7, 2019 · The airplane came with a kx-170a that had been deactivated because it lacks .125 spacing or just doesn't work. The 2nd radio is a kx-155 which works ok. The kx-170a has a CDI for its nav radio which also is inop. We want a cheap and reliable replacement for the kx-170a. Is the kx-170b a good choice?
