Jayatirtha (Jaya-tīrtha), also known as Teekacharya (Ṭīkācārya) (c. 1345 – c. 1388 [5][6][7]), was a Hindu philosopher, dialectician, polemicist and the sixth pontiff of Madhvacharya Peetha from (1365 – 1388).

The number of extant works ascribed to Jayatirtha are 21 in numbers, 18 of which are commentaries on the works of the 13th century Hindu philosopher and theologian, Madhvacharya. He also crafted three significant independent treatises dealing with the epistemology of Dvaita philosophy and refutation of the ontological aspects of Advaita.

Jayatirtha (A. D. 1340-1388) is a chief proponent of Dvaita Vedānta which was a philosophical stance founded by Madhva (A. D. 1238-1317). He was born as Dhoṇḍupant in the small town Maṅgalaveḍe, situated on the border of Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Sri Jayatîrtha is one of stalwarts of Tattvavâda, and is a very senior scholar of the Mâdhva hierarchy, being next only to Srimad Ananda Tîrtha, Sri Vâdirâja Tîrtha, and Sri Padmanâbha Tîrtha.
