A floor-type speaker system that employs a rear-loading horn. The C40 was designed as a horizontal model of the C34 and adopts a rear loading horn (back load horn) system. We also had left - and right-side enclosures for more faithful stereo playback.

Supposedly these have JBL 001 system - A JBL 130A 15" Alnico Woofer, JBL 175DLH Alnico Compression Driver with the n1200 crossover. Feb 3, 2009 · Thanks to the help of a couple Akers (Elgato8905, Zilch, & Bauhausler) in identifying some speakers I was able to score a very nice set of vintage JBL C40 Harkness folded horn speakers. I was originally attracted to them for the style of the cabinets, as I have the whole Danish Modern thing going on in the house.

For your kind consideration is this fantastic sounding vintage JBL Harkness C40 Lowboy single cab with original JBL 15”, driver, tweeter, and crossover. Tested and sounds incredible. The legs were missing when we got it, but can be found on EBay.

Mar 1, 2025 · Came well packaged and works as advertised. These speakers are very heavy and will require at least 2 strong people to move. It appears that they are not an exact match and one is older then the other. This can be seen by the logo's and the serial numbers on the crossover.

Feb 28, 2024 · Hi I'm selling my vintage jbl c40 with rare aluminum legs. I believe the legs are influenced by George Nelson or Herman miller of the time. These are in fantastic shape given the age. They are very large and heavy so cannot ship. They have the desired crossover setup n2600 with d130 woofers and 075 tweeters. They are in the korina finish as well.
