It: Welcome to Derry is an upcoming American supernatural horror television series based on Stephen King 's 1986 novel It and serving as a prequel to the films It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). The series was developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, all of whom were involved in the It films.

In March 2022, HBO and Warner Bros. announced the show as a prequel series to the IT movie franchise. The prequel was titled, "Welcome to Derry" (later re-titled to "It: Welcome to Derry"). The director of the two earlier films, Andy Muschietti, was announced to work as an executive director on the series with his sister, Barbara Muschietti.
