IMDC is an international engineering and consultancy company in the field of natural waters: precipitation, groundwater, rivers, estuaries, coastal areas, ports and marine waters. It employs over 100 specialists and is based in Antwerp, Belgium.

IMDC offers a wide range of related services, including detailed river modelling, real-time flood forecasting, potential flood area mapping, floodrisk analysis and floodrisk management. These services are based on field measurements as provided by IMDC: surface- and groundwater levels, water discharge, precipitation and sediment transport.

IMDC has extensive international experiences in designing coastal and marine structures. Our design is performed applying in-house tools, advanced numerical software and also most recent developments. IMDC also offers supervision and design verification during construction.

IMDC’s environmental models provide detailed simulations to address critical environmental issues such as water quality, plastic movements, pollution as well as impacts on environmental processes combined with local as well as global impacts.

Using complex numerical modelling and data analysis techniques IMDC in partnership with METU has developed a new Wave Energy Potential Atlas (DEPA) of Turkey aimed at identifying the energy potential arising from waves, current and thermal cycle.
