Help! How can I play as a Cleric of Ilmater without disrupting
Oct 27, 2020 · Perhaps your character is a cleric of Ilmater who specifically is passive about violence, or maybe will even volunteer to deal finishing strikes, because you would rather martyr your own soul and moral wellbeing than have many others potentially die, or turn to violence and further away form Ilmater's light. And it is a test of your endurance ...

Do you know Ilmater? : r/DnD - Reddit
Nov 13, 2015 · Playing a LG Paladin in the Forgotten Realms, I chose (basically at random) Ilmater as my deity and didn't think much else of it. Fast-forward a few sessions when we were joined by a LG cleric, who decided to also choose Ilmater as a god. He roleplays as super passive-aggressive, asking almost every NPC if they "know god."

Mar 21, 2019 · Ilmater was the most forgiving of beings; it was thought he could even forgive Loviatar, Maiden of Pain, if she repented of her cruel deeds. Though he knew full well the atrocious and horrific acts that wicked creatures could do, he remained forever hopeful that evil beings could one day be turned to good , or destroyed, and so he stayed firm ...
What makes Ilmater a good deity for a Twilight Cleric?
Dec 16, 2023 · Hi all, first time posting in this sub. I noticed that the FR wiki had Ilmater's domains listed as Life and Twilight. Life definitely makes sense to me, but the night-time/darkness themes of Twilight seem irrelevant to Ilmater's shtick. Can anyone go into some lore details as to why a Cleric of Ilmater might go the Twilight route rather than Life?

Jul 26, 2023 · Ilmater is the god of suffering—and is a god who willingly sacrificed himself to suffering to take away the pain of others. Build on that. Your character used to derive meaning from ending folks’ suffering (presumably based on the god you picked).
