MENA IFRC countries have endured an increased trend of armed and non-armed conflicts over the last 13 years, with long-standing conflicts in Syria, Yemen, and Libya remaining persistent challenges that continue to obstruct the path to resilience and development.

IFRC GO is a Red Cross Red Crescent platform to connect information on emergency needs with the right response.

Aligned with the global IFRC secretariat’s approach to have greater impact with a harmonized and consistent approach, the MENA Regional Delegation will also support the systems that enable it to work as one coherent organization globally, but with a clear country focus.

MENA countries play an important role as origin and transit countries in Mediterranean migration, with National Societies playing a highly visible role in support of this vulnerable population.

A MENA Anticipatory Action Regional Community of Practice has also been established through this project, led by IFRC and World Food Programme, which creates a space for over 40 organisations to coordinate technical and advocacy activities around Anticipatory Action and to collaborate, learn and exchange knowledge.
