Immutable X does not impose gas fees for transactions carried out on its platform. However fees may be applicable when assets are traded on partner marketplaces. When a user lists an asset for trading, they specify a base price at which they are willing to execute a buy or sell order.

Jan 10, 2022 · 20% of Immutable’s protocol fee must be paid in IMX tokens. This fee can either be paid directly in IMX, or Immutable will automatically swap the actual purchase currency (e.g. ETH) for IMX on the open market.

Nov 25, 2022 · Launched in November 2021, IMX is used across the entire ImmutableX protocol for fees, staking, and governance. While ImmutableX does not charge any transaction fees (gas fees) for the minting and trading of NFTs, a 2% protocol fee is applied to every transaction created and settled through the protocol’s shared global orderbook .
