Hyde is our high schooler protagonist. The power of EXS awakened within Hyde after an encounter with a mysterious young girl named Linne. After a series of gruesome battles, Hyde defeated Paradox--considered to be the strongest wielder of all.

One of Hyde's best moves, reaches far and leads to strong combos on hit. Good for catching opponents at neutral from a distance. Useful for confirming off far Orbiter hits and side swap combos.

Hyde is your basic run-of-the-mill shōtōclone character. Having well-rounded normals and a balanced set of projectile, anti-air and expansion set specials, Hyde is a solid character for any situation.

Hyde's power has grown in UNI2, utilizing the Insulator's power to destroy EXS with his new Blaring Outrage technique, which has Hyde form a cross-shaped residual slash that shoots forward as a projectile which deletes other projectiles it comes into contact with.

Hyde's general goal is to get in and keep the pressure on to bait his opponent into making a mistake and suffer big damage for doing so. He achieves this via frame traps and strike/throw mix.
