The MIT logo is a powerful, globally recognized symbol and serves as the anchor of our brand. The logo lock-up, MIT seal, and Tim the Beaver mascot are also key parts of the system.

As the Institute’s primary graphic symbol, the MIT logo should appear on all communications, including websites and other digital collateral, print publications, stationery, and signage. MIT seal, adopted in 1894, embodies the educational vision of our founders.

MIT logos are available for download in sets that are optimized for use in each of three categories: Microsoft Office documents, digital and offset printing, and web and mobile sites. Each logo set contains all five official MIT color combinations.
