Haploview is designed to simplify and expedite the process of haplotype analysis by providing a common interface to several tasks relating to such analyses. Haploview currently supports the following functionalities: implementation of Paul de Bakker's Tagger tag SNP selection algorithm.

Install Haploview by double-clicking the installer file. The installer will create a Haploview folder in your Start Menu. To run the program, click on "Haploview.jar" file in that folder. Currently there are no installers for Unix, please use the JAR download links instead.

Haploview[1] is a commonly used bioinformatics software which is designed to analyze and visualize patterns of linkage disequilibrium (LD) in genetic data. Haploview can also perform association studies, choosing tag SNPs [2] and estimating haplotype frequencies.

NOTE: Haploview is designed to work with JRE v1.4 or later. It is strongly recommended, however, that you download and install the latest version of the JRE available for your operating system. Sun is constantly improving Java and (more importantly) fixing bugs that crop up.
