Sep 17, 2013 · Our New Haas ST-10 Hello All, This will be an ongoing post meant to chronicle the good, the bad, and the ugly of our Haas ST-10 purchase. Our old Hyundai Hit8s was great, but it broke again and the service cost predictions were $5K and up so we decided on new. We know all about the Haas being...
CNC Machining | Advice on Haas ST-10 - Practical Machinist
Nov 7, 2010 · I'm currently running a 1994 Hyundai HiT 8S and thinking of replacing it with a new Haas ST-10. My garage is my shop and has limited space and power (running a from a phase converter) so machines much bigger, heavier, or more powerful than these are out of the question for me. I mainly run...
Haas ST10 Tool and Work offset setting Review
Dec 2, 2016 · We use half-inch blocks for setting tools on both mill and lathe (and 123 blocks to verify the offsets, but a 123 block would work for setting too). I'd be curious as to why you prefer using a tiny shim, if you have a particular reason behind it. I don't like using shim stock or paper on anything because the students forget to change the …
Haas | ST-10 Coolant Cleanout??? | Practical Machinist - Largest ...
Feb 19, 2004 · Yup! You're missing the Company Directive at Haas, which clearly states that all engineering improvements on any model of Haas machines MUST BE accompanied by another engineering change, which must decrease the ability to maintain the coolant system. alternatives to a haas st-10 - Practical Machinist
Jun 29, 2013 · Nothing wrong with Haas lathes. I turn hardened steel with CBN on a Haas Toolroom lathe. The ST-10 is a capable machine and would likely be well suited for your applications. They're not as heavily built as some others, but it doesn't really matter for turning plastics and the Haas control is much nicer to use than a Fanuc 0i-TC.

Nov 25, 2009 · I am attempting to install a manual 4 jaw chuck on a new ST-10. Does anyone have a walk through/assembly/ help on doing this.
