Feb 9, 2021 · Hi, has anyone tried installing Linux on an Elitebook 835 or 845 G7? I recently bought a Thinkpad L14 but I'm not satisfied with its screen and touchpad quality and I'm thinking of returning it and getting an Elitebook instead. Thinkpads have excellent Linux support, whereas it is not as great on Elitebooks from what I've heard.

Hello, I'm an Engineer student, nearly finishing my course, and wanted to know if you think it's worth buying a business laptop, in this case it is the HP Elitebook 845 G7 14'', AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750u at around 950€. I got my elitebook 845 g7 (r7+16g+512g) for 3 months right now, I think it's pretty good so far! The performance and the battery life are decent in my opinion.

Dec 9, 2021 · I had trouble with my notebook (Elitebook 840 G7) and was sent an Elitebook 845 G8 as a substitute. What sounds like an upgrade is a huge disappointment. Besides an AMD cpu instead of an Intel cpu, the display is much darker. And the latter pisses me off. Looks to me like a cheaper model instead of an upgraded model.

Nov 11, 2022 · With a Ryzen 5 PRO, despite it being slightly old, 400€ certainly sound like a good price for such a great laptop (and although HP's laptops are generally way overpriced, making this an even larger discount, I would also recommend getting a ThinkPad L14 Gen 1 (AMD with a 4650U, if sold at at this price).

Jan 3, 2023 · Although my perfect laptop would be the 845 G9 due to the 16:10 ratio, I can't find it with anything but the 250nits display here in the UK. Instead, I've seen an ex-demo 845 G7 with Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD for £680 (~820 USD) and the seller informs me it does have the 400nits display.
