May 13, 2019 · I should have my mr762 within a few days, I'm wanting to do a G28 E3 clone aka G28 patrol but in black. I love the g28 in black and think the patrol will look great too. Having the lower remarked and upper engraved would be a maybe on my list of making it a TRUE clone.

The G28 is available in two different styles - G28 E2 "Standard" and G28 E3 "Patrol". The Patrol variant is largely similar to the standard, but is equipped with the HK-Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 G28 scope, with slightly different dimensions but lighter weight for easy transport/marching.

It is the very same rifle, but fitted with a shorter quad rail handguard and smaller optical sight. The Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 is used on the Patrol variant. The G28 Patrol is also known as the G28 E3. The G28 is derived from the HK 417 battle rifle.
