Under Windows with HDR mode on, HDR videos streamed from Netflix or Prime night attempt re-enable HDR mode and freeze. Users will need to disable HDR mode.

Nov 24, 2020 · Its not the client. Its the tvOS. Most 3-rd party players (like Infuse and XBMC) had bitstreaming option. Since tvOS 11.3 it is gone. Blocked on OS level. Apparently apps can not access hardware directly either.
