Mar 6, 2009 · hi im new to the site but im repairing my h22 head and ill be putting it on my accor 96 if all goes well ill be posting it for everyone to know what to plug or what not to im also getting pistons for it because the f22 is a 9.0:1 c/r and the h22 is 10.0:1 or you could also deck the head but i'm not doing that cause ill be boosting it up.

Jan 15, 2009 · obd1 and obd2 electronics aren't compatible as far as i know. you'd have to get a vtec head, distributor, and p13 ecu from an obd1 prelude. i'm not sure how well the frankenstine motor would run, i've heard mixed things about it. some people say its not reliable, but i've also heard people say they've had no problems with it. if youre just looking for vtec i'd say just do an h22 engine swap ...

Aug 24, 2007 · The H22 Vtec has about 200hp stock. The H23 has a longer stroke, but the cylinders are the same as the H22 which is why you can bolt on the H22 head. The H22 has a higher compression ratio because of the pistons, and the combustion chamber.

I also am doing the H22 head-H23 Block in my 92 CB7 Lx. And using the CB7 tranny and BOOSTING the hell out of it-25-35psi. This also comes with a hefty price.

Feb 28, 2010 · doesnt matter what head year it is..as long as its all the same series..so you'll be fine..you'll also need to use the h22 crank/pulley, timing belt, maybe water pump as well. might need the h22 intake manifold also. get the oil line tapped into the oil pressure sensor. then you can splice the vtec from the head onto your wireharness that way it wont be such a hassle redoing the entire wire ...

Aug 24, 2006 · Other then that it's really a give in take. The F20B has smaller valves and not as much flow as the H22's head however the head is better finished from the factory then the H22. The Cams on the F20B are better cams, milder then the Type-S but still an improvement over the H22A's cams. So it's basically pic your posion.

Dec 10, 2008 · From what I was told is that a certain year h22 head or h23 head. will bolt up. all you have to do is block something off, and get the h22 timing belt. being DOHC timing belts are bigger than SOHC belts. Im not sure if the h22 and f22 blocks are exact same. the f22 and h22 will interchange tranny's. as well as flywheels and clutches.
