May 15, 2005 · im not really thinkin ls vtec although if i do run a turbo i will need to run the lines. i already have a gsr long block so im just looking for displacement from the b20a5 bottom end and mount the gsr head on the b20a5 bottom although i do believe i have to use head studs or move a few around for head alighnment hmm....

Dec 26, 2003 · the GSR does flow a "tad" more cfm in the midrange the PR3 head b16/itr head flows a tad more cfm up top over the GSR. I would go with a B16 head because the cost of one versus a GSr head is about half.

Jun 25, 2003 · basicly what he said. Your head is not really affected by big hp #'s it is the revs that kill it. Try spining a GSR head to 10k+ you not going to be lasting long. Remember, by doing head work, you improve the HP more. Bigger cams, PnP for flow, valves and springs to support the higher revs and duration of the cam lobes.

Oct 29, 2003 · If you have a GSR head go get a 1.8 block. type R, LS, GSR, whatever just retain the torque. Steevo: Don't mess with it. seriously. if so do a K20a3 if you're on a budget. other than that you may want to see if the cost is worth it. You could also turbo the existing motor.
