GRYD seeks to promote increased and more effective cooperation and coordination between LAPD patrol/gang unit officers with GRYD intervention staff and GRYD Program Managers, and to expand police-community interaction to generate greater trust and co-operation.

For Fiscal Year 2025-2026, the Mayor’s Office is seeking proposals from contractors to provide GRYD Gang Intervention services across twenty-three designated GRYD Zones, aiming to support gang-involved youth aged 14 to 25 through various supportive services.

The GRYD program was established within the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office in the summer of 2007 to address the problem of gang crime and gang violence in Los Angeles in a comprehensive, collaborative, and community‐wide manner.
