Welcome to GROUP 2025! ACM International Conference on Supporting Group Work, a PACM:HCI Affiliated Conference will be held at Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA, January 12-15, 2025.

GROUP 2022/23 works to integrate new hybrid participation formats and encourage research into broader questions across society and computing, while being truly international and interdisciplinary in organizational structure, as well as in participants.

About the Group Conference. For over 25 years, the ACM International Conference on Supporting Group Work (GROUP) has been a premier venue for research on Computer Supported Cooperative Work, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Supported Collaborative Learning and Socio-Technical Studies.

In this research leading toward my dissertation, I focus on three under-examined areas: 1) the effect of collaborative learning on AI literacy development; 2) the role of students’ group engagements with everyday AI; and 3) students’ development of an AI-ethics mindset.

The ACM GROUP conference has a long-standing partnership with the ACM CSCW and ECSCW communities, and one of the Steering Committee’s responsibilities is to coordinate dates and activities across these conferences.

Due to the pandemic, GROUP 2022 has been postponed to 2023, and will now be GROUP 2022/23. We have already had two waves of submissions (which are published in GROUP volume 5 and GROUP volume 6 of PACM-HCI), and will have a third wave in 2022.

GROUP 2025 offers half or full day workshops on any GROUP-related topic. GROUP is broadening its view of what a workshop can entail, encouraging innovative and reimagined workshop formats that don't fall into traditional categories.
