Is a Gorgon too dangerous for a large 3rd level party?
But, despite the "official" calculations (a gorgon is CR5, and therefore is a "medium" encounter for a party of six 3rd level characters), his damage seems very high (2d12+5 horns or 2d10+5 hooves; both if he charges to knock somebody prone). Plus he can petrify in a 30ft cone.
