LabVenture is the cornerstone education program of the Gulf of Maine Research Institute. Since 2005, it has delivered immersive, engaging, and interactive scientific learning experiences to about 10,000 Maine middle schoolers each year.

GMRI Science Learning Resources — connecting classrooms to authentic science experiences. We design science learning resources to support educators to engage their students in authentic and current science about climate and ecosystem change.

Local fishermen, along with fisheries science and management experts, work with GMRI staff to guide the workshop. This collaborative approach ensures that workshops are regionally relevant while transferring universally valuable tools and information.
