G34 vs. G17 - is it really better? - Glock Talk
Sep 6, 2013 · I must have a lemon G34, because I found I was more accurate with my g17 pistols set up with a NY1 spring and 3.5 connectors than the stock g34 3.5 connector and coil spring. Additionally, my G17 pistols both shoot to POI w/ my preferred carry load, the Win Ranger 127gr +P+ (RA9TA) while the G34 shoots a loose 2 inches high while using a 6 o ...
G34 vs. G35 - Glock Talk
Apr 9, 2015 · A G34 will always and only be a 9mm. A better option would be to try and find a G34 or G35 slide and drop it on your G22 (The G22 & G34&35 are the same frame). I have seen G35 slides going for $300 on place like GB. If you buy a G34 slide, pick up the proper ejector and a couple mags for your frame and you have the same as a G34 for half the cost.
First Impressions: G34 Gen 5 | Glock Talk
Apr 14, 2018 · The pre-Gen5 stretched coil Trigger Spring is THE most common part that breaks (at the hooks) in a Glock pistol. The Gen5 design should almost never break. I suspect that the new compressed Trigger Spring force is nominally the same 5.0-lbf of the previous-style stretched Trigger Spring. Glock NEVER made coil Trigger Springs with any other rating.
Barrel Porting - Worth It? | Glock Talk
Oct 23, 2020 · The worst choice would be to take a Glock 34 Gen 5 and have a port cut into it. Totally defeats the purpose of the Gen 5 Glock 34. The Glock 34 Gen 5 is, in my mind, now a superb choice for duty because of the fact it no longer has the huge cut out on the top of the slide.
Differences between G17L and G34 | Glock Talk
Aug 11, 2017 · For me, the G34 is the best of them. Balance is perfect, I shoot it better than any other Glock. The G17L is nose-heavy. Also - The G34 is allowed for a wide-variety of shooting shorts. The G17L isn't allowed in many competitions. For self-defense, the gun on my nightstand is a G34. If I were to carry a full-size pistol, it would be the G34.
G34 MOS Optic - Glock Talk
Jun 29, 2019 · The G34 is primarily a range and home gun. I’d like to get into IDPA, but again- the time investment is the issue. Sometimes I think I should have just got a normal G34 and saved the cash I’m dumping into everything involved with an optic (optic, sights, bench rest, ammo to get competent). This gun bug bites me every time!!!!
Can someone explain differences between G34 and G17L - Glock …
Mar 21, 2017 · The G34 could be ordered with the normal connector or the lighter connector, depending on the intended use (if I remember correctly, Glock does not recommend the lighter connectors for defensive or duty-gun use); I think the 17L always came with the lighter connector.
17 vs 34 for Home defense - first time gun owner - Glock Talk
Dec 26, 2024 · A lot of folks prefer the G34 and the one advantage you’ll get with the longer barrel is a bit more velocity, which may matter to you in a self defense gun. The G34 ships with a GLOCK OEM “-“ connector, so the trigger pull weight will be 0.5-1.0# lighter than the G17.
G34 for Duty Carry | Glock Talk
Feb 27, 2014 · They all carry Glock 34 as their sidearm while the rest of the guys get Glock 17. Last thing, compared to the G22 or G21 that I also have carried for duty, the longer barrel of the G34 puts the barrel ahead of the lens on the taclight …
Glock 34 as combat/duty pistol - Glock Talk
Apr 23, 2009 · I'm still coveting a Glock 34, although I've yet to find one in stock. I'm curious--given that the G34 is preferred for IPSC and IDPA competition-style shooting, why is the G17 preferred by police/military as a tactical weapon? I mean, the G34 seems to shoot faster, is …
