Make sure globe view is enabled. Hover over the "Layers" icon. Click More. Click the checkbox next to "Globe view." Click the 3D icon at the lower right below the compass. 2D Mode: This Google Maps version may work better on older or lower performance computers. It doesn’t have 3D images or WebGL, and it uses simple zooming and transitions.

If you're already in 3D view, you’ll find 2D instead. Reset your globe to face true north: At the bottom right, click the compass. Tip: When your globe doesn't face true north, the compass icon appears. Fly to your current location: At the bottom right, click My Location .

Jul 3, 2018 · Adding the following to the end of the createPrimitives() function seemed to work well in 2D and 2.5D, less so in 3D where z-order artifacts remain at some orientations which could be related to this issue. Adding some height (centimeter/decimeter) helped a little in 3D.

Jan 30, 2024 · Tap the compass to set north up again. Tap the 2d button to reset the tilt. To access the “I’m feeling lucky” option, tap the search bar, and it will appear below that. Questions?

When you first start Google Earth, you’ll find a straight view of the globe. You can tilt the map in any direction.
