The barbarians get extra damage on all hits if they are raging and can use reach reckless attack then move back utilising their great movement speed. Paladins can get more smites per turn and at level 11 they get an extra d8 on all hits.

Reach means you don't have to get up in their face, and can kite people, it means you can hit fliers if they are stupid enough to hover near you, and a bunch of other great stuff.

Jan 10, 2016 · No. It's way too powerful. Though the damage increase from Longsword to Glaive isn't that high, realize that the Glaive only has lower damage because it has reach, which is a very powerful ability. The greatsword is a better example to compare the true effectiveness of the feat.
