Gilly is one of the Free Folk, and is a daughter and wife of Craster. She is the mother (and half-sister) of a baby named Sam, who was produced through a forced relationship with her late father. Gilly is one of the many daughters of Craster, a wildling who lives beyond the Wall. She lives with him at Craster's Keep.

Tegan Lauren-Hannah Murray (born 1 July 1989) is an English actress. She played Cassie in Skins (2007–2008, 2013) and Gilly in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (2012–2019), for which she has been nominated along with her castmates for three Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Gilly is called before Jon Snow, now the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, who tells her that she is to leave Castle Black and take Mance Rayder's child with her, leaving her own behind at Castle Black. Gilly insists on taking both children, but Jon refuses to allow it.
