As suspected, there are 2 gem pricing variants - one is 500 gems and the other 800 gems to activate the monthly "Quest Pass" Premium Prizes 2 through 7 are different alongside the two gem price points The assignment of variant is entirely random - it doesn't relate to play level, spending patterns, proficiency level, etc.

May 4, 2022 · Spin the wheel every 2 hours. Complete daily challenges. Get as far as you can in every event. Aim for the 3 gem prize once your wish box is full. I think it's possible to earn 800/month if you're diligent. The quest pass is worth it if you like the featured emoji. I liked Holiday Tink and Yoda, so I spent the gems for those months.
