First, this thing is nothing more than a range toy or zhe German LARPing gun, and that is ok! Barring a powerball win, it’s the closest most of us will ever get to the feel of an MP40 (or rent one I suppose).

When I fill out the eForm 1 for the gun, the option to use for GSG results in "German Sports Guns" (notice Sports with an "s" instead of without). Aug 23, 2021 · Yes, the original MP40 had two screws basically in the same areas, but the GSG/ATI covers are very soft plastic and flex with any pressure applied to them. IMHO, this could have be an easy fix if they would have just molded the two covers with two or three “rock and lock” points on the inside of the two panel covers.

Nov 27, 2021 · I have to give a big shout out to MFI for their wonderful service, and parts to make the MP40 from ATI more correct. the Muzzle Nut, and Front Sight Hood are really nice quality, and they got the parts out to me the same day. Wasn't intended as a slam on you - I meant the "withhold judgement" to come across stronger than it does If the MP40 + SBR kits had beaten 41F it wouldn't even have been a question, but for me the post-41F hassle is a higher bar, at least until such time as I might get into the SS kiosk system...

Jun 5, 2018 · I picked up a GSG MP40 last week and the handle pulls out fairly easily. There is a detent when its all the way in but not much is needed to get it moving out. I have yet to fire it and I a don't want to shoot it and loose the handle in the woods.

Dec 28, 2019 · I am considering buying a MP40 and going the SBR route. I have watched a few YouTube videos about a few reliability issues, and I am wondering if there is a thread on this subject. I used this forum for my GSG MP5 clone, and after making the modifications I read about on this forum, my carbine runs! I am hoping to do the same with the MP40.
