Sep 3, 2021 · Yeah those G16 transaxles hang really low and have a large flat aluminum front section that tends to get banged up when off road. Many that I've seen are cracked and dry. Seems to be a thing. I have a complete G16 with no engine that has a cracked open transaxle, thinking it's toast as well.

The amp draw of the installed devices (lights , starter & such) is generally determined by the voltage applied if the demands on the device stay the same (a big block will put more load on a starter than a small block, ect).

Jul 9, 2018 · Ok, been having a weird issue with my son's G16. Occasionally it will take a few seconds to start (Starter generator is turning but engine doesn't start). Sometimes it starts right away. I figured maybe just a carb/fuel issue.. However over the weekend, it happened a few times and took an extended amount of time to start..

Aug 19, 2023 · Re: G16 Bogs/Hesitates when accelerating My experience with the cheap Chinese carbs if that they either don't work properly to begin with (jetted wrong because they just grab whatever main size will fit from the workbench) or they fail within a couple of months, usually with the float absorbing gas and no longer capable of floating.

May 20, 2012 · g16 rebuild steering box Gas Yamaha. Thanks for the info. It's actually within the steering box. I've had the play for quite sometime, this weekend I just replaced the whole front end with a new jakes long travel kit and everything is nice and tight, no room to wiggle except for the steering box.
