May 11, 2005 · The E7TE heads were mostly used on trucks and are often reffered to as "E7 truck heads". They make pretty good low end torque but by 4000 rpms you are "sucking through a straw". I can't remember the valve sizes, I think they have 60-61 cc chambers. If I remember right that is about 9:1 on a 302 with flat tops.

Dec 29, 2004 · That used to be the standard way of getting a less expensive, quality valve for 289/302 heads. Now, since the world has discovered 5.0 liter engines, prices for ford specific valves have come down considerably, there isn't that much difference in Ford vs. Ch*y over-size valves, so unless you happen to have an extra set laying around...it's just as easy to go FORD.

Jun 6, 2002 · Try looking at the 1.90 valve size, maybe someone makes a this size valve for the small block with stock ford deminsions, it is only .040" smaller. I use the 1.90 that came in my Edelbrocks and it makes plenty of streetable power. Well over 300 now at the tires. .02

Jun 8, 2018 · It is the CAM that stops pulling. The E7 heads will easily support up to 5,000 rpm without a problem. Probably a little more. Port work should only be done OFF of the engine. The elephant in the room is the following: Porting heads with a cam that stops pulling is not going to net you as much as addressing the elephant.
