I drilled a 1/2" hole and and threaded with appropriate tap. Threaded in cup. Then I cut a nut in half to make a thin nut and tightened it onto the cup from inside the stock. Very solid.

If you get flush cups you need to get them properly installed, use good hardware, and get into the habit of double-checking them when you snap-in. Or, if you're like me you can get an AICS and not worry about it.

Also, as others have already stated, Triad's service is top notch. My rifle is a 'do everything' so I opted for flush cups instead of studs to keep the profile clean.
