Aug 1, 2017 · Feeding the fire eel is funny. I got two Venustuses that compete with the fire eel for bloodworms and the other African cichlids waiting patiently below. Freakin Phirannas. Some bloodworms do fall down, but mostly the haps and peacocks are eating it. Getting a 200 gallon or a pond when I get the chance. I'm just growing them out.

Oct 3, 2006 · tankmates for a 2ft fire eel.. well big fish.. from what i experienced fire eels are very peacefull with other fish.. as long as there big enough that the eel cant eat it.. i would prob throw some oscars in there.. an adult JD would probably work too..

Aug 18, 2008 · I have two fire eels- a 10" and a 12" and they cohabitate comfortably with a senegal, an albino sen, an ornate, and an endli- all the polys are 6" and everyone gets along at these sizes. I cant tell you about other sizes though
