Sep 1, 2009 · The Dino body was designed by PininFarina but fabricated by Carrozzeria Scaglietti. Since the bodies were produced at a different facility than the Ferrari factory then it makes sense that they would have their own number to track them during fabrication by Scaglietti.

Jun 23, 2005 · Actually they were the same engines, the reason you saw a difference is that the FIAT Scott's did was a 206 (as is mine) and not a 246, but they are the same engines. The FIAT Dino 2.4 is a Ferrari Dino 246 motor, and the 2.0L is the Ferrari Dino 206. Scott's did a FIAT 2.0 prior to your 246 and yes lots of difference there.

Sep 8, 2019 · Ferrari recommended for the 246 Shell Spirax HD90 or EP80 oil. Unfortunately I cannot find any tech data on this product. For the 308 which is essentially the same, Ferrari recommend AGIP F1 MP SAE80W90 which [worryingly] is a GL5 oil. Are the syncros in the box made from bronze, I cannot remember.

Nov 7, 2012 · My car is a Ferrari Dino 308 Gt4 1975 (might be late 1974 production). Assembly number 648. Serial 09472. It has twin distributors, Marelli 159B. Its a Euro version, and first sold in Switzerland. My timing marks are 6deg, AF 18deg and A5 35deg, all before TDC (PM). My distributor does not have a spined connection, but rather an adapter plate.
