They traveled to Earth-616, where the elder Feron contacted the Phoenix Force. He became host to the Phoenix Force and used its powers to project an ancient tower across the omniverse, creating a copy of the tower on every alternate Earth in existence.

Traveling with his students to Earth-616 where an alignment was imminent, Necrom used the pious Feron to summon the celestial avatar known as the Phoenix Force, which projected an ancient tower at the nexus site through the multiverse, to act as an anchor for the matrix energies.

Excalibur was then joined by Feron and the monks who had raised him to be Phoenix's host, as they had awaited for the rise of the Anti-Phoenix. The vampiric Necrom was able to absorb the Anti-Phoenix to empower himself.

While the rest of the Crazy Gang fought with the guests at Meggan's bachelorette party, Feron hid in the large stripper cake that was brought before Captain Britain. Feron burst out of the cake, attempting to kill Captain Britain with the Executioner's weapon.

While on Earth-616, Feron managed to tap into the primal cosmic energies of the Phoenix Force, thus becoming one of the first hosts for it. Feron would wield his new powers to battle his one...

Feron is the last descendant of the original Feron, who remained on Earth 616 to wait for the return of the Phoenix Force. He was raised by an order of monks in the county of Sligo, in Ireland, training his mind to host the Phoenix Force in order to defeat the Anti-Phoenix.

Feron, blaming himself for the pain the Phoenix had suffered at Necrom's hands, stayed on Earth-616 and dedicated his life to seeking forgiveness. He told his children to prepare for the inevitable return of Necrom.

Feron is the most recent in a 1,000 generation old line of potential magical hosts for the Phoenix Force. His original teachings come from Necrom, who in the future is the Anti-Phoenix and the one Feron must stop.

Necrom fled to Earth-616, where his preparations to awaken the life-destroying Anti-Phoenix drew the attention of Excalibur and government agency FI6. Necrom merged with the Anti-Phoenix, and slew most of FI6 before flying to the Lighthouse to attack Excalibur.
