Jan 5, 2023 · On coupled fan assemblies with two fan Bearings, we are primarily focused on proper shaft alignment. The coupling transfers the power from the motor to the fan, and therefore carries high rotational forces that when misaligned, worn, or eccentric, can result in damage to the other components.

Direct drive fans connect to fan shafts, using fewer parts that can fail. These fans also increase energy efficiency, while trading off on power and speed control. They don’t use pulleys, which in turn reduces the noise along with the need for repairs.

The total fan shaft solution can significantly reduce operating temperatures, enabling you to increase fan speed and throughput without upgrading the lubrication system.

Precision Blower and Fan Shafting: Shafts are AISI Grade 1040, 1045 hot -rolled steel or Stainless Steel, accurately turned, ground, polished, and ring gauged for accuracy. Shafts are generously sized for first critical speed of at least 1.43 times the maximum speed for the class.
