Jun 18, 2024 · The FNTD’s mission is to support, educate, and advocate for the economic development, job creation, and educational priorities important to business, institutions, and communities of the Northern Tier Counties of Bradford, Tioga, and Potter along the Rt. 6 Corridor.

FNTD supports visionary projects in telecommunications, data and digital infrastructure that will shape the future of how our community conducts business. We look for opportunities that will lead us toward a more seamless communications network and expand our global connectivity.

We strive to make our region better by identifying our area's needs and supporting their growth, from educational priorities to job creation and development.

The Fund for Northern Development team is made up of leaders from around the Northern Tier who are passionate about bringing positive economic change to our area.

These courses gave students a great opportunity to learn about the culinary industry and how to apply specific techniques to create specialized dishes. The FNTD will continue to work with local organizations to bridge any skill gaps and ensure exceptional hospitality experiences become the hallmark of the Northern Tier.

FNTD’s goal is to support the energy industry in finding innovative solutions that promote sustainability, alleviate costs and increase access to those who need it most.

Education is an investment in our future. FNTD is committed to innovative and impactful educational projects that will equip people of all ages with skills and knowledge necessary to develop our community.

Transfr trains people for well-paying careers by using immersive, hands-on VR training. This technology can be used to train staff as well as provide students with exposure to a variety of occupations. In September, FNTD collaborated with Develop Tioga to host a demonstration on this exciting new technology.

We identify unique opportunities for growth in the area, then use FNTD’s influence and connections to fold in businesses, legislators and other key stakeholders to develop projects that fulfill and enrich these opportunities.

Our goal is to support agriculture-related education and training projects that will create a sustainable and promising agricultural future for the Northern Tier.
